As you begin this Spring quarter, UCI would like to provide all students with the following information on hazing prevention.

Hazing Prevention

UCI is charged with the responsibility of providing an intellectually engaging environment in which standards for behavior are clearly communicated to members of the community. At UCI, we ask our students to Choose Kindness: Don’t Haze.

If you have heard of or seen any hazing activity that may put students at risk, you can report it to the UCI Police Department, Office of Academic Integrity & Student Conduct, and other offices listed on the Hazing Prevention website.

To learn more about resources and to take the hazing prevention pledge, visit our table on Ring Road on Wednesday, April 10, between 11am - 2pm. We will have Choose Kindness: Don’t Haze stickers. Look for the Sorority & Fraternity Life canopy.

There are some students who act on behalf of student organizations that are not recognized by UCI. Student members of these groups may contact you to join their organization or simply invite you to attend their events. These organizations are not affiliated with the campus or respective governing councils in any way. Campus personnel do not advise these groups, do not provide training and resources, and their events are wholly independent of UCI.

The list of suspended and unrecognized student organizations can change on a regular basis and we advise you to refer to either of these websites for the most up to date list: Campus Organizations and Sorority & Fraternity Life.
